2013 Fun Shoot
On September 27 and 28, 2013, the Oak Ridge Sportsmen's Association (ORSA) Skeet and Trap hosted our 2nd annual "Pull for Our Veterans" skeet and trap shoot in Oak Ridge, TN. All proceeds from the fun shoot went to the Wounded Warrior Project©.
At this year's shoot, there were 62 shooters who pre-registered which sold-out the shoot two weeks prior to the event. The inaugural year of the "Pull for the Veterans" event raised $8,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project©. The 2013 2nd annual event raised over $16,000. Event registration was $100.00 per shooter of which 100% goes directly to the Wounded Warrior Project©. Shooters received a hat, t-shirt, shooting towel, and draw-string bag which included various "goodies" all of which were donated by our generous sponsors. The Saturday shoot was preceded by a dinner and silent auction on Friday evening. The silent auction itself garnered $3,200.00 in direct donations to the Wounded Warriors Project©. The evening was capped by a patriotic program and our guest speaker MSG (R) Richard Robertson, a wounded warrior from the war in Iraq.
